Swastika Bungalows, a small hotel tucked away under
the palms just a few hundred meters from Sanur's golden-sand
beach and coral-reef lagoon, is owned and managed by a local
Balinese family. Transfer from Ngurah Rai International Airport
take only 20-30 minutes and an airport meetings service can
be arranged. 
Here you will find the atmosphere of a typical Balinese family
compound. The friendly service, ever-present smile and attentiveness
of staff, is sure to make you feel at home. Watch the daily
routine of placing offerings, or join the colourful processions
and festivals that involve family and village. Traditional
dance and music practices are a regular evening occurrence
at the local banjar meeting hll, and temple festivals include
frequent performances of theatre and dance.

The
Swastika Bungalows innovatively combines traditional
and modern Balinese architecture. Set in colourful tropical
gardens around two swimming pools, 64 spacious rooms are spread
about the gardens in cottages and two-storeys buildings.
Each room has its own verandah and bathroom, with bath, shower,
hot and cold water. Family rooms interconnect, and there is
a choice of air conditioning or fan-cooled rooms. For those
who need to keep in touch with home, some rooms have international
direct dial telephone. The friendly staff provide 24 hours
room service. There's a free safety deposit facility. Call
in at the frony office to change your currency or post letters
or use the internet facilities. Rental cars or minibuses can
be arranged for tours about the island. For long stay guest
a TV and a fridge with a stocked minibar can be provided upon
request. The roof-top restaurant caters for breakfast, sandwiches
and snacks, and there are two nearby family restaurants which
offer a wide choice of cuisine, and several shopping centers
close by. At the entrance to the Bungalows is the Swastika
II Garden Restaurant, ideal for relaxing evening dining with
a choice of Indonesian, Chinese and European food.
Swastika I Restaurant, just down the road, is also set for
open-air dining. Fresh rock lobster, king prawns and salad
are the house specialty. Try traditional Balinese cuisine
or choose from the wide selection of Indonesia, Chinese and
European dishes.
