Day 1 Arrive Sepinggan Airport
When you arrive at the Sepinggan Airport you will be greeted by a representative of the tour company who will be your guide for the trip meaning you will get to know him and he will begin to explain a lot of information about the area. You will board the boat which is the best way to negotiate the jungle traveling upstream through the mangroves where you will see plenty of life and sleep aboard the boat.

Day 2 Mahakam River Tour
Day two of the 3 Days Mahakam River Safari Tour begins with breakfast on the boat after waking to the views of the jungles passing by which is a true natural and refreshing way to begin your day. You will head to Muara Muntai where there is a great traditional village which is great for seeing the stilted houses where the locals live by the river in traditional house and have the chance to see the connection that the local people have with their surroundings. You will take a motorized canoe from this point to the Jempang Lake where passing along the Ohong river where you will be ale to see the Manchong Village which is a great experience. Here you will see the Dayak Banuaq tribe performing their traditional dances and ceremonies as well as a variety of performances. Often you may even get the opportunity to join in with the some of the festivities as well as learning all about them. You will then return to the house boat where you will continue the cruise and have dinner and then eventually sleep aboard the boat.

Day 3 Mahakam Local Market Tour - Departure
The third day of the 3 Days Mahakam River Safari Tour begins with breakfast on the boat and then you will continue the trip to one of the local markets where you will be able to visit the different stalls and try a number of different dishes and buy some very interesting items while soaking up what is such a large part of local culture. You will also be able to visit the cemetery and see the cultural differences as well as the great museum of Kunai Kertanegara where you will be able to see the remnants and effects of the Sultanate such as the sultan’s palace and the other sights. After you will again return to the boat where the boat will head down the river to Loajanan where you will be able to eat lunch and then you will continue of to Balikpapan where you will be ready to take your next flight and will be transferred by the guides to your departure terminal
