3 Days Orang Utan House Boating Tour

The 3 Days Orangutan Tour Houseboating is the standard length Borneo tour allowing you to see over the three days, the Kumai area as well as the Proboscis Monkeys and the Orangutan of the Tanjung Putting National Park.

This is an extremely well priced tour offering a real sense of adventure into the jungle aboard a traditional live aboard boat that has been adapted to the soul purpose of taking tourists into the Jungle to see the sights and incredible environment which is so well protected from the over logging and deforestation issues that all rainforests and their inhabitants are facing. You will begin at the airport where representatives of the 3 Days Orangutan Tour House boating will meet and greet you before taking you along the coast onboard to the Kumai River located only 15 minutes from the airport. Here you will begin the journey upstream towards the Seikonyer river which is the main river leading to the National Park. There is an onboard cook who will provide you lunch as you pass though the jungle and mangroves along this beautiful journey where you are likely to see all kinds of wildlife before you even reach the National Park.

At around 16.30 on the 3 Days Orangutan Tour House boating you will reach the National Park where you will begin to observe the Proboscis monkeys displaying there behaviour along the banks before stopping for dinner which is served on the boat and then as the sun sets you will sleep in your quarters aboard the boat ready for the early start of the main day of the 3 Days Orangutan Tour House boating.

Day two of the 3 Days Orangutan Tour House boating begins with breakfast aboard your boat and then a stop off at the Pondok Tanggui which is the second largest Orangutan rehabilitation centre of the area. Here you will view baby orangutan as well as the juveniles in captivity as close to their usual lives as possible and see the feeding around 09.00am. Photos are welcome and you will be able to learn about the center as well as enjoying the incredible habitat around the area. You will then continue on towards Camp Leakey passing the black river which is teeming with wildlife including primates Fish and even crocodiles. Lunch is served aboard at noon and you will arrive at Camp Leakey where you will begin a short hike into the forest with your guide as he informs you of all of the interesting information related to the area and the projects taking place. You will be able to observe a variety of wildlife and see the feeding time at 14.00 and are able to contribute with milk and fruit. This can be enjoyed till 14.00 when you will take the afternoon hike back to the boat where you will head to Tanjung Harapan for the over night stay and a delicious dinner.

The final day starts with the journey back down the river enjoying breakfast and lunch before arriving back at the airport and ready for you connection flight.
